    Alexis is a collaborative therapist who largely works from a psychodynamic lens. She utilizes a relational, strengths-based approach that's uniquely personalized for each client. She draws from evidence-based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR. Additionally, she incorporates expressive arts, education, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. For families of adolescents/young adults struggling to connect, she offers family therapy to address relationship fractures, attachment wounds, and work toward more productive communication.

    Prior to working at Peace Street Wellness, Alexis provided school-based therapy, residential care for adolescents, and community mental health. She has experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, identity exploration, self-esteem challenges, perfectionism, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She has specialized experience working with ADHD, Autism, and AuADHD, and has learned to offer self-compassion and embrace her own neurodivergent (ADHD) journey. She welcomes clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and is LGBTQIA+-affirming.

    Fun fact: Alexis went to culinary school and was a professional cook; she currently enjoys exploring local restaurants, coffee shops, and farmers' markets.

Her experience is in private practice treating children, adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, self-harm, grief, and life transitions. She specializes in working with neurodivergent patients. Kris believes counseling is a journey, and her goal is to walk beside the client during this journey.

Ashley’s specializations extend to helping women, teens, the LGBTQ+ community, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss.

    As your therapist, Ashley’s commitment is to offer unique experience in a judgment-free and compassionate space. Embracing a holistic counseling approach, blending therapeutic interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Theory, and Motivational Interviewing while viewing each client and their story through a multicultural and spiritual sense.
